The cell is a 2x2 end crystal box. Visitors die to get out via a lava dispenser in the wall. Everyone respawns in the cell using a squilly glitch.

The prison is surrounded by several item bans that detect being broken. Inside them are many layers of lava to protect the suicide switch, which is also activated by the floor detector and an innovative deepslate redstone ore roof detector. Most of the vertical height of the prison is taken up by a carpet perception box that triggers the roof detector instantly. There is a mercy switch, which can undo the suicide a couple times.
